Room Service Dining
Patient Meals
MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is pleased to offer the "At Your Request" Room Service Program. This innovative service system allows more freedom and flexibility with your meal times and selections.
We would like to suggest the following times for meals:
Breakfast 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m.
Once your physician prescribes a diet to meet your medical needs, it is entered into the system and you are free to order meals. A restaurant-style menu is available in each room from which you may make your meal selections. Simply dial ext. 3463 (DINE) and trained staff in the dietary office will assist you in choosing meal items appropriate for your dietary needs. Your meal will be delivered within 45 minutes of placing your order. Snacks may be ordered by dialing ext. 3463 (DINE).
You are welcome to request food at any time during our regular operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
If a family member wishes to order a meal for a loved one who is a patient at the hospital but cannot make it in to the hospital, they can simply call 301-570-8500, ext. 3463, and order the meal.
If you have any special religious or dietary restrictions, please inform your nurse or room service associate. Clinical dieticians are available to assist with any nutritional needs.

Visitor/Family Meals
MedStar Montgomery Medical Center also offers the convenience of meals for your family and guests. You can order "Guest Trays" through our Room Service as well. If any of your guests wish to have a Room Service meal, they can purchase a guest tray from the cafeteria, then order their meal by calling our Room Service operator at ext. 3463. Guest trays are available for a nominal fee:
- Breakfast: $3.25
- Lunch: $4.65
- Dinner: $5.15
Hours of Operation for the MedStar Montgomery Cafeteria are Monday - Friday:
- Breakfast: 7:00 am - 10:00 am
- Lunch: 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Dinner: 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
(6:30 - 7:00 pm, salad bar and Simply to Go only)
Saturday and Sunday
- Breakfast: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
- Lunch: 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Dinner: Closed
