In order to confirm a cancer diagnosis, your doctor will perform a number of diagnostic tests. These include imaging tests, biopsies and blood tests.
Cancer Imaging Tests
"Imaging" tests do exactly that-provide your doctor with an image of what's going on inside your body. Below are some commonly used imaging tests. You will not have all of these tests; depending on your type of cancer, your doctor will order the appropriate ones that will give the most information about your cancer.
