Community Outreach
Because we are a community hospital, we take community outreach very seriously. We manage several grants that allow us to reach out to underserved populations in Montgomery County and provide them with preventive cancer information. We are also able to run several screening programs and serve the community at different venues with lectures and information about screening. We also participate in Montgomery County health days.
Our Community Outreach Programs
Brains, Breast and Beauty
This is a breast cancer screening program geared towards women in the 18-40 year old "pre screening" generation.
Women's Health Improvement
This is a collaborative partnership for same day breast screening through Proyecto Salud (Olney) Primary Care Clinic, Community Radiology, MedStar Montgomery and Primary Care Clinic oversight.
