Dr. Kevin McMahon is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon practicing in General Orthopaedics with a focus on Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, and Hand and Total Joint replacement. Dr. McMahon received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University, his MD from Georgetown University Medical School and went on to complete his internship at Tripler Army Medical center, followed by an orthopaedic residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. McMahon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgery. A native of Washington, DC, following a tour in the Army, he returned to practice in the area and, became a member of the Medical Staff of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center (MMMC), in 1989. He is currently the Chair of the Quality and Peer Review Committee of MMMC and held the elected title of President of the Medical Staff from 2009-2011. In addition, he was the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery from 1995 to 1999, and he has served and continues to serve on many leadership committees of the hospital. Dr. McMahon is fluent in Spanish, and is a presenter both locally and nationally.
