David Havrilla joined MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in May 2009, coming from MedStar Health where he served as vice president of finance. Prior to that, his experience consists of six years as chief financial officer at MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, six years as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Southhampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Virginia and nine years as vice president of finance at Jeanes Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Havrilla received his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) at Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Havrilla has been an active member in many community based organizations throughout his career. He chaired the local Community Advisory Board (CAB) of the Howard County Y and currently serves as a board member of the Howard County Y in Ellicott City.
