Education Advances Care in Our Community 

Nursing staff Advanced Nursing Education Fund
Provides scholarships to nurses at MedStar Montgomery pursuing advanced degrees in healthcare and leadership, includes paying for national certifications. Learn more ways to support nursing education.
Irving T. Boker Memorial Fund for Nursing Education
Supports education classes, seminars, required certifications and resources for our nurses. Learn more.
Hoffman Hoffman Innovative Learning Fund
Thanks to Richard and Priscilla Hoffman (pictured), the Hoffman Innovative Learning Fund supports an educational training program for all associates. This initiative encourages all staff to positively influence change and make innovative decisions on better patient care. This program will increase awareness on patient safety, ensure quality of care and bedside manner, and help to reduce the margin of error.

Patients and Families in Need 

emergency-fund Emergency Funds support patients and families who are not able to afford their medical care, advanced treatments or medications
Dr. Arthur Schoengold Angel Fund offers financial assistance to hospital associates who have experienced a sudden, unavoidable event or unforeseen change in circumstances resulting in an emergency-related financial hardship

Improving Senior Care


To provide every senior patient with the best care possible, we built upon a nationally recognized best practice: Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) designation, by launching We Improve the Senior Experience (WISE) program. The NICHE/WISE Program continues to make our care more accessible, convenient and safer for our seniors.
