The Women’s Board Thrift Shop is currently closed for repairs and upgrades. These repairs and upgrades will take approximately ten weeks, which unfortunately means we cannot be open until their completion. We look forward to keeping you updated as work progresses, and to celebrate with you our reopening.
Please check back periodically as well as our Facebook page. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
NOTE: In addition to items that have been recalled from the manufacturer, please review all other items we DO NOT accept.
Montgomery County's policy on used bags: Tax applies to thrift shops and non-profit organizations. Recyclable bags are welcome.
The Thrift Shop has a long history, beginning in 1966 at the Barnsley House in Olney. Though its location changed over the years, the support it's given the hospital has remained the same. Today, the Thrift Shop is housed in the former Nurses' Home, built in 1937. Since then, the landmark has gone through many renovations, but thanks to the community-it has become a city treasure!
